6 Months and counting

Our baby boy is almost a toddler...  well he will be soon enough!  We have been having so much fun with him lately and are very excited for the adventures we will have in the future.  He got to go to his 6 month check up for measurements and vaccinations.  The Doctor said he looked healthy, very responsive, and just great all around.  He did seem to measure a little on the small side for weight, but they didn't seem too concerned about it and they said we could just keep feeding him one new thing at a time and he will be eating table food before we know it!

Other things that have happened this month include his first camping trip, a trip to Aspen, his first trip to BV, and he met Mikey's friend Bernie.  Also, we have started using daycare 4 days a week for him.  He gets a report card everyday and they say he is doing great, except he doesn't like to be alone!  I think he has been spoiled by everyone!

His 6 month stats!
Weight : 15 lbs 1 oz
Height : 26 3/4 inches

Latest developments : Rolling every which way, pulling his knees underneath his body, very strong stander, blowing raspberries all the time, still sucking on his hands and drooling all over the place, also still cooing and talking a ton, giggling and smiling all the time, eating more and more real food and holding on to everything he can fit his little hand around including hair!
Nicknames : Pumpkin, Monkey, Bucket, Pail, Noah Pants, Pants, Little Dude, and Kiddo.

TWD: Baking with Julia - Blueberry Muffins

This weeks recipe was Blueberry Muffins, so I wasn't going to miss it!  Mikey helped me mix everything together and we got them in the oven in about fifteen minutes!  The recipe was really simple, so Noah didn't fuss too much while we left him in the other room.  They turned out great and we ate them right up.  The blueberries were delicious.  I am not sure if I would use this recipe over my mom's recipe that I grew up with, but I might consider trying them one more time!  We are no longer having individual hosts for TWD, so you can probably Google the recipe from the book Baking with Julia by Dorie Greenspan.  You can also check out how the rest of the bakers muffins turned out at TWD Blogroll.
